Somebody has to put their name to it.

Reviews here are signed. On an accepted paper a named academic stands behind the assessment, and that judgement is attached to their own record rather than hidden behind "Reviewer 2". We are selective about who joins, and standing in the pool is earned rather than bought.

10 to 14 days

The turnaround we ask for on a paper you accept. Decline freely when it does not suit you; declining costs you nothing.

Your name, on accepts

Signed on accepted papers, with a DOI of its own. On rejections you may stay anonymous.

Five reviews and one paper

That qualifies you for the editorial board. No amount of money does, and none ever will.

Which journals?

Pick as many as you can genuinely review for. An editor reads every application.

How fast can you usually turn a paper around?

We do not pay reviewers and we do not charge authors: publishing in these journals is free for everyone. Anyone who joins on a colleague's recommendation is never assigned that colleague's manuscripts — the system refuses it.
